Er. Jaideep P Raje
Er. Jaideep Raje finished his schooling from St. Vincent’s School, and graduated with a BE Civil from the Government College of Engineering—Pune. An avid sportsman since childhood, he represented his school and college in a number of sports, such as hockey and cricket. After graduating, he started his career with the leading contracting firm Bharucha and Motivala as a trainee engineer. He learned the right attitude, values and proper work methodology with them.
With this experience at hand, and an urge to make a difference in the construction industry, with the unflinching support of a like-minded Er. Ajit Bhate, he established Bhate & Raje Construction Company Pvt. Ltd. in the year 1990. Over the years, this enterprise has expanded its horizons, and now is a team of 550 dedicated staff, and is a name of repute in the construction industry.
Raje’s acumen for quality, speed, economy, advanced technologies and client relations has been instrumental in the ability of the enterprise to make advances in technology.
His vision to incorporate technology in the field of construction engineering has led to a change in the concept of construction in BRCCPL from a labour-oriented work methodology to a state-of-the-art and automated process-oriented one. Through BRCCPL, he set up a precast concrete production facility in Pune, India, called Precast India Infrastructures Pvt. Ltd. in 2012 after intense research of requirements of prefabrication and structures required in Indian conditions. He is a Founder Director of PIIPL.
Over the years, he has been actively involved in training activities, be it for construction labourers or students of civil engineering. He is associated with various institutes like PCERF and Abhinav Abhiyantriki Sthapatya Kendra, and is also on the courses committee and Board of Studies for the Government Polytechnic Pune, VIIT, and Cusrow Wadia Institute of Technology. He has been playing a critical role in trying to bridge the gap between academics and industry requirements. He was also the Chairman of the Builders’ Association of India, Pune Centre, for the year 2012-13.
Er. Ajit V Bhate
Er. Ajit Bhate completed his schooling from Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military School, Pune, in 1978. An avid sportsman, he was active in a number of sports, and captained his school cricket team for two years. Further, he led his college team at Fergusson College and later at the Government College of Engineering—Pune. He is a third-generation civil engineer in his family, and after graduating from the COEP, he joined M/s Kanetkar Associates as a Junior Engineer. With a few years of vital experience, he was able to take on separate projects on his own, having built bungalows, farmhouses and more.
In 1990, he jointly founded Bhate & Raje Construction Company Pvt. Ltd. with college classmate and friend, Er. Jaideep Raje. Over the years, Bhate has played a crucial role in taking BRCCPL on the path of mechanisation by encouraging deployment of systems formwork, automated reinforcement processing, use of tower cranes etc. BRCCPL has challenged the Indian market with an enviable combination of speed and quality of construction.
Bhate is a pioneer in the Indian world of sophisticated precast production and construction techniques. Through BRCCPL, he set up Precast India Infrastructures Pvt. Ltd. in 2012 after intense research of requirements of prefabrication and structures required in Indian conditions. He currently serves as its Managing Director.
He is also a well-known speaker on Precast Construction in India and abroad, and has received a number of awards for various conventional and high-volume precast projects. He encourages research and development leading to multiple patent processes involving PIIPL.
